Ambassador He Xiangdong meets with Hon.Minister of petroleum Ezekiel Lol

On March 20, 2017, Ambassador He Xiangdong met with Hon. Ezekiel Lol Gatkuoth, the Minister of Petroleum.

They exchanged views on Sino-South Sudan cooperation in petroleum sector. Ambassador He emphasized that China attaches great importance to bilateral cooperation in the oil sector and urges the South Sudanese side to take concrete and effective measures to ensure the safety of oil workers, which is conducive to the stability and increment of crude oil production of the country. 

Minister Ezekiel Lol said that petroleum industry is the economic lifeline for South Sudan and the government of South Sudan will do its utmost to provide security protection of the oil field. Identification of security threats is being carried out in a timely manner, to ensure the safety of oil workers and property of the enterprises in Upper Nile.
