Laos showcases itself at 2017 SSACEIF

The 2017 South Southeast Asia Commodity Expo and Investment Fair (SSACEIF) opened in Kunming, Yunnan province on June 12.

Laos, as the guest country of honor has arranged 22 of its enterprises to attend the expo, setting up 56 exhibition booths to display its specialty products.

China’s Belt and Road Initiative matches Laos’ national strategy of a "land-linked country". "I think this will bring benefits to both countries, especially for the people in Yunnan, which is connected to Laos," said a spokesperson from the Lao delegation at the expo.

As the guest country of honor, Laos will use the SSACEIF as an ideal opportunity to further its friendship with China and promote bilateral cooperation in economy, trade and tourism, he added.
