Jinning attracts major investments at SSACEIF
Jinning district in Kunming city, Yunnan province has attracted total investment of 2.1 billion yuan ($308.38 million) at the 2017 South and Southeast Asia Commodity Expo and Investment Fair (SSACEIF), which is being held in the city from June 12 to 18.
Three projects contributed to the investment total. One is a project for storing coffee beans that is being run by Yunnan Logistics Industry Group which aims to dominate the coffee storage and transportation market in southwest China.
Another project will be the Miaokang Health R&D project which will build a base comprising of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), a modern TCM factory and an online health management platform. The project is expected to be completed in 24 months.
A further facility will be completed within 36 months. The light-industrial facility is capable of annually producing 1.3 billion pipes for drop irrigation measuring 1 meter each, 16,400 tons of PE pipes, 3,600 tons of PVC pipes, and 3,500 sets of equipment for water treatment.
