U Soe Paing said 79 exhibitors from Myanmar participated at the recent 2017 South-Southeast Asia Commodity Expo and Investment Fair (SSACEIF) in Kunming. Exhibits cover gems and jewelry, handicrafts, food and agricultural products.
Hailing the SSACEIF as a “great opportunity for countries to showcase their domestic products and make business deals", Paing said the trade fairs and expos in Kunming are helpful in strengthening economic relations between countries by serving as platforms for trade exchanges.
The Fair which took place June 13-18 saw concluded business deals worth US$73.42 billion.
With exhibitors, buyers, businessmen and economic organizations from different countries joining the SSACEIF, Paing thinks information could be shared, business deals could be reached and investment opportunities could be explored during activities held concurrently.
