On June 14, a A300-600 air freighter operated by Uni-Top Group took off from Kunming Changshui Airport heading for the fourth-largest metropolis in India, Madras. The flight marks the opening of a new all-cargo route connecting southwest China to India.

The A300-600 flight to Madras is scheduled to fly five times each week, leaving every Monday through Friday at 5:55am. Goods expected to be shipped through the route are mainly Xiaomi, OPPO and VIVO electronic devices built in east and south China.

An official from Kunming Changshui Airport said that after opening the cargo route, goods with high added value can reach India in a safe and quick way. Moreover, the regional advantages of using Kunming’s airport to attract a steady supply of domestically produced goods will facilitate trade with the countries of South and Southeast Asia.
