Yunnan launches int'l tea trade center

The Yunnan International Tea Trade Center was established in Kunming on June 28, becoming the first online trading platform to focus on the wholesale of tea in the province.

The center will focus on pricing, transporting and evaluating tea, utilizing online trading, product certifications, logistics, and the financing of supply chains.

Systems for source tracing and quality assurance will also be set up, allowing the center to apply higher quality standards and smart management of tea production in Yunnan.

By building an online trading network between farmers, enterprises and the market, the center will serve as a fully transparent market for  tea wholesale.

With the help of statistical analysis, the center will be able to gauge the different consumption demands of different regions, helping suppliers to optimize productivity.
