Yunnan marathon certified by int'l organization

The Yunnan Pu’er Sun-River Mountain Marathon has been certified by the International Trail Running Association (ITRA). Those able to finish the 52-kilometer marathon will receive two ITRA credits.

The event is held at the end of each November in the Pu’er Sun River National Forest Park, which is dubbed as the "Chinese Amazon" and popular among runners for its pristine ecological environment and rich Pu’er tea culture.

ITRA credit is indispensible for many international trail running competitions. Runners are required to earn enough ITRA credits to attend various contests.
