UK holds culture, business promotion in Kunming

The 2017 UK culture and business promotional activities were recently held in Kunming.

As a highlight of the activities, the British software company Appt opened a branch called Yunnan Biaorun Technology Co., Ltd. in Kunming.

British Consul-General in Chongqing Cecille El Beleidi attended the activities and unveiled the British company’s Kunming branch.

The activities aim to mark the 45th anniversary of the founding of ambassadorial-level diplomatic ties between China and Britain. And it is the first time for the British mission to hold such activities in Southwest China.

El Beleidi hoped the activities could further exchanges and in-depth cooperations between UK and SW China.

Other highlights of the 2-month activities include UK-Yunnan infrastructure projects investment promotion seminar, and the Belt and Road roundtable for China-UK cross-border collaboration in Southeast Asia.
