The Mengla Custom and the Mengla Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau in south Yunnan’s Xishuangbanna recently discovered some undeclared seedlings of tillandsia, more commonly known as air plants.

The air plants were found by border police officers when they were examining a vehicle that carried imported fresh-cut Dendrobium.

This marks the first batch of undeclared cargo that has ever been discovered by joint checkup at the Mohan port.

The custom and the bureau there used to carry out checkup separatedly. Now officers with the two departments work together and share the H986 large container inspect system, and their working efficiency is thus greatly improved.
