Trans-Himalaya development forum opens in Dehong

The 3rd Trans-Himalaya Development Forum opened on July 10 in SW Yunnan’s Dehong Dai and Jingpo Autonomous Prefecture.

Under the theme of “production capacity collaboration and common development”, the 2-day forum attracted  over 130 Chinese representatives and 23 experts from neighboring countries, including Afghanistan, Bangladesh, India, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and more.

The experts will discuss new trends on regional and sub-regional development, as well as policies, practices and experiences, opportunities and challenges in production capacity collaboration.

The forum is jointly held by the China Institute of Contemporary International Relations, as well as the Dehong prefectural Party committee and people’s government.
