Yunnan to be promoted at EXPO 2017 in Kazakhstan
A promotional event for Yunnan Province will be held on July 24th at the ongoing EXPO 2017 in the Kazakhstan capital of Astana.

The promotion will take place at China Pavilion, where another 23 Chinese provinces, as well as Chinese companies, will also hold similar promotion activities.
China Pavilion at the Expo is themed "Future Energy and Green Silk Road", highlighting sustained energy development in the future and reflecting China's idea of green development under the Belt and Road Initiative.
At the Yunnan event, Chinese Ambassador to Kazakhstan Zhang Hanhui and leaders from Yunnan will deliver speeches on future energy and green Silk Road, together with around 120 attendees from Kazakhstan.
Also, Yunnan will showcase its Pu’er tea, Jianshui purple pottery, tourism resources and business opportunities, as well as the latest research findings by energy companies in the province.
Delegates with Yunnan Provincial Tourism Development Commission, Yunnan Provincial Energy Administration and The Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, as well as some Yunnan energy and tourism companies, will attend the EXPO.
Headed by China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) Yunnan Sub-Council, the Yunnan delegation will also visit other countries along the Belt and Road.
The EXPO 2017 runs from June 10th to September 10th.
