In the first six months, 9,706 batches of cargos that flew between China and Thailand have been inspected at Mohan Port, according to the Yunnan Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau.

The cargos cost $ 230 million, representing a year-on-year increase of 11.65%.

Encouraged by the bureau, Yunnan companies have imported 5 batches of rambutans from Thailand during the six months.

The bureau also issued 884 Asean FTA certificates of origin for goods to be exported to Thailand, exempting $ 650,000 tariff for trading companies.

Fruits, grains and seedlings imported from Thailand are inspected at Mohan Port, while frozen meat and aquatic products are checked at Jinghong Port (the Guanlei wharf).

As joint inspection gets faster at the port, 3000 batches of goods will be exempted from repeated inspection yearly, saving 1,500 hours for companies.
