Yunnan Day launched at World Expo 2017

Yunnan Day kicked off at the China Pavilion at Kazakhstan's Astana World Expo 2017 on July 24.

Yunnan Day was held with the theme “New energy – enjoying a green life”. Through exhibitions and displays, economic and trade matchmaking, tourism promotion and other activities, Yunnan Day introduced both Chinese and foreign visitors to the province’s achievements in economic and social development, the protection of intangible cultural heritage, new energy development, tourism industry development and other areas.

Over the past several years, Yunnan has accumulated a wealth of experience in developing new energy technology, tourism resources, bio-pharmaceuticals, big health, mountain agriculture and other industries. Through the Astana World Expo 2017, Yunnan will establish closer economic and trade relations with Kazakhstan and other central Asian countries, and promote cooperation with them in the fields of economics, culture and science and technology.
