The 60th joint patrol and law enforcement operation on the Mekong concluded, with three Chinese vessels back to Guanlei port.

The joint operation lasted five days and four nights. Eight boats and 215 officers from China, Laos, Myanmar and Thailand participated in the operation, which covered 595 kilometres across a 41-hour code cruise.

A total of 11 boats, 47 sailors and 360 tonnes of cargoes were inspected during the operation.

In the Golden Triangle, Ban XangKhong, and other key waters, the fleet of boats carried out joint investigations, emergency preparedness drills for possible Dengue fever outbreaks and joint prevention and control capacity in the region are thus improved.
