Six Global 500 companies invest in Yunnan
Another six Global 500 enterprises began operating in the province in the first half of 2017, according to Yunnan Provincial Bureau for the Promotion of Investment & Cooperation.
The six include Apple, Mizuho Bank, China Huaxin Energy and GE Medical.
RMB 427.93 billion has been invested into the province, up 18.7% year on year; while the actual use of external investment totalled 612 million US dollars, a gain of 21.8%.
Yunnan organized investment promotions in the UK, Ireland, Israel, Germany and other countries.
The province has worked with DTT (Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu) and PwC (Price Waterhouse Coppers) to expand its connections with the Global 500 enterprises.
To draw more investment, Yunnan also builds an Investment Data Centre, which is expected to go into operation by the end of 2018.
The centre involves data pertaining to key industrial projects across the province, key global enterprises, and assist scientific research institutions, financial institutions and more.
The centre has 13 business areas including project and investor databases, websites, queries and data analysis systems.
