"Classroom plus workshop" provides customized talents training service for enter

Recently, our reporters visited two talent training centres in the Central Yunnan New Area(CYNA), located in Anning and Songming vocational education parks respectively. As China's emerging state-level New Area, CYNA was established two year ago.

The colleges in the two parks are offering courses like equipment manufacturing, new materials and airport-based industries to ensure the New Area a sufficient talent reserves.

In the BMW Building of Yunnan Traffic Technician College, students were practicing skills on the latest BMW models. The college is the province’s only training institution for professional coach drivers and an inland river seafarers training institution approved by China's Maritime Safety Administration. Now it trains certified seafarers for five types of ships.

  

“Core competitiveness stems from technical skills. Factories have been moved into schools; workshops are set up in classrooms,” said Yang Jingyuan, the president of Yunnan Traffic Technician College.

In Songming and Anning vocational education parks, a lot of enterprises and companies have set up studios and workshops in colleges. These colleges stress the training of the students’ entrepreneurship and innovation abilities. They also strive to commercialize the products by students in practice and training in accordance with the requirements of enterprises.
