Int'l freight route connects Kunming with Hanoi

An international freight route from Kunming to Hanoi was officially launched the other day. It is operated by Uni-Top Airlines. The route is the fifth international freight flight out of Kunming Changshui International Airport. The others connect Kunming with Dhaka, Delhi, Mumbai and Madras.

Uni-Top Airlines now operates the route with A300-600 cargo aircraft. The goods are mainly high value electronic products. Each cargo aircraft has a payload of about 48 tons.

The Kunming-Hanoi freight route, based on business ties between production lines in the two cities, will expand the hub-and-spoke airline network centred around Kunming Changshui International Airport. It will facilitate the flow of goods between the two regions and will help Yunnan Province to play a more important role in the Greater Mekong Sub-region.
