Yunnan artists invited to perform in India

Three artists with the Chinese Culture Promotion Society (CCPS) of Yunnan Province were recently invited to perform at a reception by the Chinese Consulate General in Indian city of Kolkata, including the Erhu player Ma Yunde, the Pipa performer Yang Li and Guzheng performer Hou jie.
The reception were held to mark the 68th anniversary of the founding the People’s Republic of China, and the Yunnan artists jointly performed three Chinese folk musical pieces and a interlude in the Indian film of Caravan.
Their performance impressed the present international audience a lot.
