Robot Cruzr rolls off production line in Kunming

On October 16, a type of robot called Cruzr rolled off production line in Kunming. It has big head, and its arms are in quick action.

It says “Hello” when shaking hands and “Thank you” after performing a dance. In addition, it can identify human beings by face recognition technology.

The robot is produced by UBTECH company which was set up in 2002. Before Cruzr, the company has already produced robots like Jimu and Alpha which are applied in education and entertainment. 

According to Guo Yuhong, product manager of UBTECH, Cruzr can be used in airport, hotel, supermarket, hospitals and other public facilities for guiding and consultation.(Photo source: Xinhua)
