Flocks of migrating parrots snapshot in Ruili

Photos of clouds of the red-breasted parakeets recently went viral on the internet.

The images were taken in southwest Yunnan’s city of Ruili, an alleged parrot habitat, but it is rare to see thousands of migrant red-breasted parakeets flying over the border city. Their coming presented magnificent sights and attracted a lot of photographers from around the country. 

Ruili is a city on the Sino-Myanmar border and falls under the jurisdiction of Dehong Dai and Jingpo Autonomous Prefecture where the eco-environment is well protected because folks there are mostly conservationists. 

According to statistics, 673 species of birds live in Dehong.
