In pics: Folks harvest rice in western Yunnan’s Mangshi City

Images taken by a Yunnan Daily reporter on November 5 show local farmers harvest rice in western Yunnan’s Mangshi City, Dehong Dai and Jingpo Autonomous Prefecture.

The town of Zhefang in Mangshi City is famous for its Gongmi (rice tribute to the royal family in ancient China). And a rice variety called Haobi in Zhefang wins the record of the world’s highest rice, with a maximum rice stem length of 2.8 meters.
