Cycling with “passion and speed” in Wuliang Mountain, Dali

60 cyclists from 12 teams presented a feast of “passion and speed” in Wuliang Herb Valley, Nanjian County, west Yunnan’s Dali City on December 16. The 2017 Dali Nanjian Wuliang Mountain International Mountain Bike Invitational Tournament was held on that day.

After 24-kilometer fierce competition, the Aiwei Cycling Team China won the championship with a time of 4 hours 6 minutes and 43 seconds. With an elevation of 2,400 meters above sea level, the Wuliang Herb Valley boasts good conditions for mountain bike racing. Built in the mountain, the 15-kilometer track stretches through lush woods. This time, a four-kilometer track was selected for circuit race.

The Wuliang Herb Valley is well equipped with sports facilities. In addition to cycling race, the valley is also an ideal place for cross-country running, orienteering and other outdoor sports. Supporting facilities like accommodations and rehabilitation are built in the valley.
