A Uni-Top Airlines flight (A300-600), which was loaded with 42 tons of Chinese high-end electronic products, took off from Kunming Changshui International Airport and headed for Bangalore, India on December 25.

The flight marked the official-opening of the Kunming-Bangalore direct freight air route, the first of its kind that connects the Indian city to a Chinese city. As of now, Uni-Top Airlines has opened four direct freight air routes between China and India.

On the basis of market demands, two to five flights will be conducted weekly, delivering the Indian city the e-goods mainly from China’s Shanghai, Chengdu and Shenzhen and others.

The flight distance is 3,203 km. The average flight time is 4 hours and 07 minutes.

As the capital of the Indian state of Karnataka, Bangalore has a population of about 8.42 million, making it the third most populous city and a key consumption area in India.
