First Session of the 13th Yunnan Provincial People's Congress opens

The First Session of the 13th Yunnan Provincial People's Congress, the province's legislature, opened on January 25 in Kunming.

A total of 636 deputies from across Yunnan attended the session this morning.

During the week-long session, the deputies will examine and approve a provincial government work report, reports on Yunnan economic and social developments in 2017 and on budgets for 2018, and reports of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Congress, people's court and procuratorate.

The session will last till January 31.
