Yunnan’s first foreign talent visa issued to Thai expert

According to Yunnan Provincial Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs, Yunnan’s first foreign talent visa (R visa) was issued to Metha Wanapat, a Thai zoologist on March 1.

Metha Wanapat is a renowned zoologist in Asia and Australia. He said after receiving the visa: “Acquiring Yunnan’s first R visa, with the validity of 10 years and multiple entries is very exciting for me. The new visa system is very convenient, and I believe it will attract more foreign talents to work in Yunnan.” 

The new visa system of Yunnan Province starts on March 1, and the system will ease visa applications for foreign professionals and skilled workers.
