Thousand pairs gather in Mojiang, forming a twin world
The Mojiang International Twins Festival 2018 kicked off on April 29 in southwest Yunnan’s prefectural city of Pu'er.
More than 1,000 pairs of twins attended this year’s event, involving 22 international pairs from Russia, India, South Korea, the United States, Malaysia, and others.
Held during the Labor Day holiday, the grand gathering provides visitors with multiple merry-making activities, such as the twin-themed gala, talent show, parade, and long-street feast. The distinctive Hani performances are also staged.
The Mojiang twin festival has been successively held in the past 13 years, drawing in around 12,000 twin pairs from more than 30 countries and regions. It is the biggest twin party across the world.
