China-Myanmar think tank forum held in west Yunnan

The 2nd China- Myanmar Think Tank Forum was held May 9 in west Yunnan’s Dehong Dai and Jingpo Autonomous Prefecture.
 

Themed "Construction of the China-Myanmar Economic Corridor", the forum saw exchanges of views between experts and scholars from China and Myanmar.

Former Ambassador of Myanmar to India U Wynn Lwin, Consul-General of Myanmar in Kunming U Soe Paing, former Myanmar PM’s daughter Daw Aye Aye Mu attended the forum.

Sub-topics at the forum involve policy coordination, facilities connectivity, unimpeded trade, financial integration and people-to-people bonds, following the principle of “wide consultation, joint contribution and shared benefits”.

The forum is organized by Yunnan Academy of Social Sciences, Chinese Academy of South and Southeast Asian Studies(Kunming), Myanmar Institute of Strategic and International Studies, and Dehong Prefectural Government.
