Kunming’s second talent show for overseas students to open in July
As one of a series of activities of the Creative Kunming Expo 2019 to be held from July 11 to 15, the Second Talent Show for Overseas Students in Kunming is to kick off on July 13, according to a press conference held recently in Kunming, capital of southwest China’s Yunnan Province.
This year’s Creative Kunming Expo will include four sections: launching ceremony, seminar, creative exposition and cultural activities. The expo aims at displaying achievements in cultural and creative industries in China and the unique charm of local culture.
The talent show is a platform for overseas students who are studying in Kunming to enrich their cultural lives and enhance communication between different cultures. It is also hosted to help build Kunming into a regional center for people-to-people exchanges. During the event, the students will show their talents via singing, dancing, crosstalk and other performances.
Last year, overseas students from Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Thailand, Vietnam, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, South Korea and Cuba joined the talent show. This year, more students and audiences from various countries will participate in the event.
