Chinese President Xi Jinping arrived in Nay Pyi Taw on Friday for a state visit to Myanmar on January 17 and 18.

It is President Xi's first visit to Myanmar, and it is also the first visit by a Chinese president in 19 years.

During his visit, President Xi is expected to attend a series of state events to be held by President U Win Myint and hold talks with State Counsellor Aung San Suu Kyi.
