China sees 2,829 new confirmed cases of novel coronavirus infection

BEIJING, Feb. 3 (Xinhua) -- Chinese health authorities Monday said it received reports of 2,829 new confirmed cases of novel coronavirus infection and 57 deaths on Sunday from 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps.

Among the deaths, 56 are in Hubei Province and one in southwest China's Chongqing, according to China's National Health Commission.

According to the Health Commission of Yunnan Province, a total of 114 cases of coronavirus have been reported across Yunnan until 12:00 of February 3. 4 people had been discharged from hospitals after recovery around the province, and no death has been reported yet.
