Yunnan donates 800,000 ml of blood to Wuhan
Since late January when the novel coronavirus broke out, the demand of blood for clinical uses in Hubei province - the epicenter - has skyrocketed, and the constant provision of it has been under threat.
In the morning of February 29, a van carrying 800,000 milliliters of blood departed Kunming, the capital city of Yunnan province, for Hubei.
After a 16-hour trip, it arrived in its destination in the early morning of March 1, under the joint assistance of traffic police teams from Yunnan, Guizhou, Hunan and Hubei provinces.
The blood was collected by the Kunming Blood Center and will soon be handed over to its counterpart in Wuhan to aid in the recovery of coronavirus patients there.
