Starting on March 12, Yunnan province will orderly resume its bullet train services to other Chinese cities of Beijing, Nanjing and Chengdu, in an effort to facilitate trips made by migrant workers and other passengers.

So far, 65% of the train services by Kunming Railway Group has been successively resumed, with the passengers’ destinations being mostly Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Chengdu and Chongqing.

Affected by the Covid-19 epidemic, the Kunming group shut down most of its train services in late January. Now the G404, G1380, G1378 and G2802 trains will soon be operated to re-link the provincial capital of Kunming to the said cities.

Besides putting more trains into services, Kunming Railway Group also operated 18 trains dedicated to migrant workers, sending around 30,000 back to work.
