2nd Summit Forum on Yunnan Fruit Industry held in Kunming

The Second Summit Forum on Yunnan Fruit Industry, also the Asian Fresh Fruits & Vegetables Conference was held in Kunming, Yunnan province from June 29 to 30. 

A gathering of more than 1,000 fruit experts, vegetable growers and agro-business people, this forum aims to brand Yunnan fruits and vegetables, tapping the domestic and international markets outside the province. Topics at the forum focused on the growing, marketing, industrial layout at the backdrop of the Covid-19 epidemic.

Yunnan has seen increases of acreage and output in planting fruits and vegetables in recent years. In 2019, the province produced 11.38 million tons of fruits, with a sales value of 51 billion yuan. 

The First Summit Forum on Yunnan Fruit Industry took place in September last year in central Yunnan's Fumin County, where ten agricultural experts from Cambodia, Myanmar, Thailand, Nepal, Bangladesh and others were hired as permanent consultants for the National Industrial Zone for Yunnan Plateau Fruits.

This year’s event was jointly hosted by China International Chamber of Commerce (Yunnan Sub-Council), Shanghai Fruits Association, Fumin County Government, Yunnan Entrepreneurs Society and others.
