Yunnan agro-export rises by 13.7% in the first five months
From January to May, the export of agro-produces in Yunnan Province added up to 1.55 billion US dollars, representing an increase of 13.7% year on year and accounting for 35.5% of the total export value.
Vegetables, fruits, coffee, spice oil, tea and flowers are major agricultural products that accounted for more than 80% of the province's agro-exports.
More than 90% Yunnan produces are exported to the regions of ASEAN, Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and the European Union.
The province is trying to be a top producer of green food. At the backdrop of the Covid-19 pandemic, local trade authorities, insurance firms and banks are making joint efforts to assist agro-companies in Yunnan.
