Myanmar consuls sell specialties via online CSA expo
Two Myanmar consuls promoted local specialties at the Myanmar Pavilion on Dec. 15, during the ongoing Everlasting China-South Asia Online Expo in Kunming, Yunnan province.
Opening a one-hour live streaming, Myanmar consul-general in Kunming Htun Aung Kyaw and economic consul Wai Yee Lin briefed on Myanmar sea food, fruits, gems and garments to international audience.
Via video and PPTs, Wai Yee Lin talked about 11 product varieties. “Gum Karaya is a typical Myanmar product assuming the colors of white, red and yellow. It is used for making ice cream, clothes and others,” said Wai.
Htun Aung Kyaw said that thanks to geographical proximity, Yunnan has been a regular customer for fresh agro-products from Myanmar, welcoming Yunnan visitors to Myanmar's beautiful beaches after the Covid-19.
