Yunnan COVID-19 test results to be accepted globally
According to the First Affiliated Hospital of Kunming Medical University in Kunming, capital city of Yunnan province, its clinical lab has recently received a letter from the China National Accreditation Service (CNAS) for Conformity Assessment which confirms its eligibility of testing coronavirus.
As the letter writes, the role of the clinical lab as body to test and identify COVID-19 will be maintained and strengthened. In addition, the lab will be permitted to use a series of marks accredited by the CNAS in accordance with the “Rules for the Use of the Accreditation Marks and Declaration of Status”.
At present, the clinic lab is the only lab of such which can conduct testing and identification of COVID-19 across Yunnan province.
CNAS is a member of the International Accreditation Forum (IAF), International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC) as well as Asia-Pacific Accreditation Cooperation (APAC).
The accreditation means that, from now on, the lab’s test results will be recognized and accepted globally as people travel to different continents and countries.
And it is believed that this will substantially facilitate all Yunnan residents who plan to go abroad to study, travel or visit friends and relatives.
