Yunnan Party chief meets with Lao ambassador to China

Welcoming the ambassador to Yunnan on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the China-Laos diplomatic ties, Ruan said Yunnan province has materialized the consensus reached between the top national leaders of China and Laos, yielding results in the China-Laos railway construction, the bilateral trade and economic cooperation, and the joint fight against the Covid-19 pandemic.
In the context of the China-Laos friendship year of 2021, Yunnan will further exchanges and cooperation with Laos in trade, economy, science, technology, hygiene, education and connectivity, so as to increase the friendship between China/Yunnan and Laos.
Hailing the Laos-China friendly ties in the form of a human community with a shared future, which is jointly advocated by the top leaders of the two countries, Khamphao Ernthavanh said Yunnan played a key role in bilateral exchanges and cooperation in multiple fields, helping Laos a lot in its fight against the Covid-19 pandemic.
The Laos ambassador hoped that the two sides could fully overcome the pandemic soon and achieve new results in the cooperative areas of trade, economy, talent training and more.
