Yunnan province reports six new Covid-19 cases

From 0:00 to 24:00 on March 30, the border town of Ruili in west Yunnan province reported 6 confirmed Covid-19 cases, together with 3 asymptomatically infected ones.

The 6 domestically confirmed cases are as follows:

Case 1: female, aged 33, Chinese national

Case 2: female, 35, Chinese national

Case 3: male, 22, Chinese national

Case 4: female, 30, Myanmar national

Case 5: female, 42, Chinese national

Case 6: female, 33, Chinese national

The 3 asymptomatically infected cases are all from Myanmar, including one female aged 28 and two males at the ages of 24 and 27.

The said cases were subsequently identified after one person was found positive for Covid-19 in Ruili during the routine nucleic acid test on March 29. The person was immediately transferred to designated hospital for treatment and travel trace tracking.

Currently, the Jiegao border gate is temporarily closed for epidemic prevention and control.

As of 10:00am this morning, 317 persons in Ruili who had close contact with the confirmed cases have been examined by medics.
