Potatoes harvested in Kafang, Gejiu City

Now is the harvest time for potatoes in Kafang Town, south Yunnan’s Geijiu City.

Thanks to the favorable weather and sound edatope for potato growth, potatoes in Kafang have brighter color, more starch and higher quality.

Farmers are busy with picking potatoes and put them in different bags according to the sizes

The packed potatoes will be delivered to Vietnam and some Chinese cities. This year, farmers of Kafang planted 41,000 Chinese acre potatoes with output of around 3 tons in each CN acre.

However, the market is not satisfying after the harvest. Due to oversupply, the price is going low.

In view of this situation, the village committee is trying to help famers to sell potatoes by expanding the distributing outlet and online marketing.

There are many kinds of potatoes which are popular among eaters. Potatoes can be cooked in different ways, which brings varieties to the most common food in the world.
