Covid restrictions going on in Yunnan’s Ruili
Ruili, a border city in the southwest of Yunnan province, is still in a critical period of Covid-19 prevention now, with outbreaks occurring from time to time.
Meanwhile, more than 20% of the recent returnees, mostly from Myanmar, were tested positive for Covid variants, according to a Ruili news release on October 29.
At present, local authorities is innovating its Covid prevention and control measures, in a bid to meet the basic necessities of people's life.
Bordering Myanmar on three sides, Ruili has witnessed the frequent people-to-people exchanges between the two countries for long, making it hard to control cross-border spread of Covid.
Thanks to Ruili efforts in Covid prevention, however, there has been no fatal outbreak that spread far beyond the city border.
