Anning announces itinerary of confirmed Covid case

A student at the Anning campus of Kunming Metallurgy College recently was tested positive for COVID-19, making him another local case in Yunnan province this month.

Here is his itinerary announced by Anning health authorities.

The patient returned to Kunming by train from south Yunnan’s Xishuangbanna on December 21, and then went to hospitals, supermarkets, pharmacies, the school and other public places many times before December 25.

The initial nucleic acid test was positive for Covid, and he was immediately sent to the designated hospital for observation on December 25.

As of 10:00 am on December 28, Anning city had conducted the second round of nucleic acid testing and screening for 21,298 people, and the test results were all negative.

Epidemiological evidence showed the strain in him belongs to the Delta variant, probably from his contacts with an illegal immigrant in Xishuangbanna. He’s not related to the previous cases in Chenggong district, Kunming.
