First RCEP forum held at 6th CSA Expo

The International Cooperation Forum on RCEP Trade and Investment (Yang Zheng/Yunnan Daily)

The first International Cooperation Forum on the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) Trade and Investment was held in Kunming at 6th CSA Expo on November 19. With the theme of "Promoting Trade Cooperation for Innovative Development", the forum saw representatives have in-depth discussions on trade cooperation and high-quality development among RCEP members.

Yunnan is speeding up the construction of a hub for South and Southeast Asia, because it has close relationship with RCEP member countries for a long time. Participants at the forum suggested that Yunnan seize the opportunities to strengthen the cooperation in connectivity, agriculture, international production capacity, service and trade, digital economy, green development and cross-border tourism with members, especially ASEAN countries,

In January 2022, the RCEP came into effect, marking the official launch of the world's largest free trade area with the largest population, the biggest trade scale and the most potential for development.
