Chuxiong promotes tourism in Kunming

The tourism investment promotion by central Yunnan’s Chuxiong Yi autonomous prefecture was held in Kunming on June 29, inviting in some travel businesses and tourism investors.

The total number of Chinese tourists to Chuxiong has risen to the 2nd place from the 7th among the 16 Yunnan localities during the 13th Five-Year Plan period (2016-20), with the prefecture growing to be a new hot spot for travel and investment.

“Chuxiong has planned 493 investment projects on travel and culture worth 400 billion yuan in total, three of which are valued at more than 10 billion yuan each," said Zhang Wenwang, head of Chuxiong prefecture.

Chuxiong prefecture is famous for the Lufeng dinosaur valley, the Yanmou man sites, the Nanhua wild fungi and the Shuangbai green peacocks.
