China on Saturday inaugurated the Guangzhou branch of the National Archives of Publications and Culture in Southeast China’s Guangdong Province to preserve bibliology resources.

Covering a total construction area of 94,300 square meters, the Guangzhou branch is located by Liuxi River, with a total designed storage of 25 million books (pieces).

The Guangzhou branch aims to build a bibliology resource system that reflects China’s achievements since reform and opening up, especially since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China.

It also covers resource systems pertaining to Lingnan culture, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, overseas Chinese culture, foreign languages, and industrial design.

After three years of construction, the National Archives of Publications and Culture aims to preserve the nation’s ancient texts and modern publications. It is headquartered in Beijing and has branches in Xi’an, Hangzhou and Guangzhou.
