12,000 mu of rocky area afforested in Mile

Through artificial water diversion, soil improvement and afforestation, more than 12,000 mu (around 800 hectares) of mountainous areas with severe rocky desertification have been greened with vegetation in east Yunnan’s Mile city.

Making great efforts to build itself into a national forest city and adhering to green growth, Mile has built up four distinct tourist towns over the years: Taiping lakeside town, Dongfengyun art town, Keyi Yi ethnic town, and Honghe water town.
