Kunming Customs data showed that October 1, the China-Laos Railway had transported 1.419 million tons of goods for international trade, with a total freight value of 11.11 billion yuan.
Thanks to technological innovation, the customs in Yunnan province adopted smarter services for faster customs clearance. Freight time of the Lancang-Mekong Express train from Kunming to Vientiane has been reduced to 24 hours or less.
The China-Laos Railway has been connected with the New Western Land-Sea Corridor and the China-Europe freight trains, delivering goods to over 10 Belt and Road countries, such as Laos, Thailand, and Singapore.
