6th CSA Expo to be staged from Nov. 19 to 22
The China-South Asia Exposition, familiar to our friends in south and southeast Asia, is coming soon!
The 6th China-South Asia Exposition and the 26th China Kunming Import & Export Fair will be held in Kunming from November 19 to 22, both physically and virtually, according to a news release on October 28.
This is the first CSA Expo to be held with physical displays as the mainstay since 2018. Now let’s share with you the latest expo information from Yunnan Provincial Department of Commerce.
Q：What’s the theme of this expo?
A：The theme is "New Opportunities for New Development".
Bangladesh will be the themed country of the 6th CSA Expo, while Laos will be the guest of honor.
Q：What pavilions will be present at this year's exhibition?
A：The expo and fair will establish 13 pavilions at the Kunming Dianchi International Convention and Exhibition Center. They are: Green Energy Pavilion, Modern Plateau Agriculture Pavilion, Opening-up and Cooperation Pavilion, Biomedicine and General Health Pavilion, Advanced Manufacturing Industry Pavilion, Digital Economy Pavilion, Tourism and Culture Pavilion, Thematic Exhibition Hall of the 7th Cargo Freight Fair, "Everlasting China-South Asia Expo"—China (Kunming) Exhibition and Trade Center of South Asia and Southeast Asia Import Commodity, Ceremonial & Cultural Events/Guest of Honor Pavilion, China Pavilion, and International Pavilion.
At the same time, the CSA Expo digital platform will provide cloud booths, live streams, on-line negotiations, and e-signings for worldwide merchants.

Q：What are the highlights of the expo?
A：This year, several forums will be newly added, such as China-Indian Ocean Region Development Cooperation Forum, RCEP International Trade and Investment Cooperation Forum, New Era Frontier Open Forum (2022), and the 2022 Domestic and foreign trade integrative innovation and development forum.
Besides, there are some significant events during the expo, including the 3rd China-South Asia Cooperation Forum, the 2022 GMS Economic Corridor Forum for Governors, the 15th China-South Asia Business Forum, the 8th China-South Asia Southeast Asia Think-Tank Forum, the 4th China-Southeast Asia Business Forum.
In all, 16 events will be held at the expo.
Q：What measures shall be taken for the expo services？
A：We will both coordinate the process of exhibition and the pandemic prevention and control.

Q：It has been a decade since the expo was incepted in 2012. What role has the expo played in promoting exchanges and cooperation between China and other countries in the past 10 years?
A：Over the past 10 years, the China-South Asia Expo has been held for five times, with 89 countries, regions and international organizations participating in. Agreements from 2,770 domestic and foreign projects have been signed at the expo, with the value exceeding 3.7 trillion RMB.
The China-South Asia Expo has gradually grown to be a high-level global exhibition integrating international trade, investment and cultural exchanges. It has also become a key platform for multilateral diplomacy, economic cooperation and people-to-people exchanges between China and countries in South Asia and Southeast Asia and beyond.
