Railway sees freight volume exceed 10m tons

The China-Laos Railway has transported over 10 million tons of goods as of Nov. 7, according to China Railway Kunming Group. Among them, cross-border freight exceeded 1.8 million tons, valued at more than 12 billion yuan.

15 Chinese provinces have operated international freight trains on the China-Laos railway, with their goods reaching Laos, Thailand, Myanmar, Singapore and so on. The cargo has added up to 1,200 plus categories, including fertilizers, electronics, photovoltaic products, and cold-chain fruits.

The China-Laos Railway was opened in December 2021, and it connects Kunming, Yunnan Province, with Vientiane, the capital of Laos.
