Railway anniversary: New mission for China-Laos educational exchanges

The Lancang-Mekong River nourishes the neighboring countries China and Laos, while the China-Laos Railway carries on the same dream of connectivity fromthe cloud province of Yunnanto the moon city ofVientiane.

December 3, 2022 marked the first anniversary of the opening of the China-Laos Railway. On this occasion, we interviewed representatives of five walks of life in the two countries, namely factory presidents, village heads, customs officers, school principals and train conductors. And they shared with us views on the development of the railway.

Since the railway opened to traffic, exchanges and cooperation in education have continuously boosted the relationship between China and Laos. Over the past year, schools along the railway have embarked on a new mission of training efficient, high-quality and distinctive talents.

In the video, Lu Xin, principal of Yuxi Agricultural Vocational and Technical College in Yunnan, and Lin Junxiong, president of Lieu Tou School in Vientiane shared their views on China-Lao railway. They also have the same vision: Contribute to the China-Laos friendship with their educational efforts and train more talents for regional cooperation.
