2023 Mekong Forum | Vichelle: Exploring new areas for sub-regional agricultural cooperation

Recently, specialists from a number of countries came to Kunming, Yunnan's provincial capital, to attend the 2023 Mekong Forum. They shared views on the future of Greater Mekong Sub-region(GMS) cooperation, as well as the role that Yunnan has ever played in this mechanism.

Vichelle Roaring-Arunsuwannakorn, from the the Philippines, is a GMS Agriculture and Food Security Program specialist. According to her observation, Yunnan has shared a lot of technical expertise on agriculture with its neighboring countries over the past few years. "And there are definitely new areas that we can explore together," she said after visiting the world's second largest fresh-cut flower market in Dounan, Kunming.
